STELCO Engine Surpasses 200,000 Running Hours, Marking a Historic Milestone in Partnership with Wärtsilä

State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) proudly announces a significant operational milestone as one of its Wärtsilä engines in service has surpassed an impressive 200,000 running hours. This achievement reflects the strength of STELCO’s enduring partnership with Wärtsilä and the exceptional performance of its generation assets.

The engine, installed as part of STELCO’s investment in Wärtsilä power generation technology dating back to 1990, has been in continuous operation for over three decades. As of today, another Wärtsilä engine in the STELCO fleet is also on the verge of reaching this remarkable milestone.

Speaking on the achievement, STELCO’s Chief Technical Officer, Ahmed Iqbal, noted:
