Create a workplace where staff are able to access and enjoy equal rewards, resources and opportunities regardless of gender. Additionally, ensuring that the resources and opportunities provided to create gender equality and equity addresses the unique needs of both genders.

Actions to Achieve the Strategy
  • Implement leadership and skill development programs for female staff and offer leadership opportunities matching their capacity and performance 
  • Broaden the scope of Gender Equality Committee to support the implementation of National Gender Equality Action Plan  
  • Increase awareness of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education to attract more females to pursue engineering fields 
  • Provide information on career opportunities in STELCO through career exposure events, school visits and open day programs 
  • Create awareness on sexual harassment and workplace harassment to provide a safe working environment 
  • Increase female representation in company committees
